Boy Scouts of America President: BSA should allow gay leader, mostly

The New York Times reports that the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) president and former head of the C.I.A. and secretary of defense Robert M. Gates stated at today’s national meeting that the general ban on gay leaders should be ended. Gates elaborated further that troops sponsored by religious organizations should be allowed to create their own policies for leaders, leaving those troops able to continue their gay scout leader ban.
